ELWAVE / Mileage

From a route estimate to a confirmed business trip.

A planned route and a journey you actually drove are different records. ELWAVE keeps that distinction visible, so a customer visit can become a reviewed business trip.

Late pre-launch

  1. Choose start and destination
  2. Review the route
  3. Save a separate trip record

From input to a reviewable result

Example: the suggested route is 26.4 km. Before confirming the trip, review the date, vehicle, business purpose and actual distance. The illustration below lets you change the example distance without saving real business data.

Plan the route

Choose a starting point and destination. Treat the suggested distance as an estimate for planning.

Review the actual trip

Check the travel date, vehicle, business purpose and distance actually travelled. A route estimate is not an automatic mileage entry.

Confirm the record

Confirm the trip details separately. Keep the resulting record connected to the visit or work it relates to.

What you provide
Starting point, destination, travel date, vehicle, business purpose and the actual distance travelled.
What you review
A reviewed trip record with the details and context you confirmed, separate from the route estimate.

Check the route.
Keep the right record.

  1. Find the route

From → To → Find route. Stops and a return journey belong under More options.

  2. Review the estimate

Check the suggested distance and travel time. An estimate is not a recorded journey.

  3. Confirm the actual trip

Add the date, vehicle and actual distance. Review the details before saving.

Being tested. No automatic GPS tracking. Route estimates are not automatically recorded as travelled kilometres.

Availability and scope

Late pre-launch · controlled onboarding. Mileage workflows are being tested; scope is confirmed before access.

No automatic GPS tracking. The demonstration does not save a real trip or determine tax eligibility.

Questions before you start

Does ELWAVE track my location automatically?

No. This workflow does not use automatic GPS tracking. You review and confirm the relevant trip details.

Is the route estimate saved as business mileage?

Not automatically. Review the journey and confirm the actual distance separately before recording the trip.

Can I correct the example distance?

Yes. Open the example trip, enter the actual distance and confirm the demonstration. You can replay it; no actual mileage record is saved.

Does a saved journey establish a tax deduction?

No. The record supports administration. The applicable tax treatment depends on your situation and should be checked separately.
